Skills4Pharmacy passes £1m in apprenticeship levy transfers

Skills4Pharmacy, a leading provider of Level 2 and Level 3 pharmacy apprenticeship training, says it has provided over £1 million to date in levy transfer funding to pharmacies in England.

“This significant investment reinforces Skills4Pharmacy’s dedication to strengthening the pharmacy sector and empowering local businesses to succeed,” says the company.

Skills4Pharmacy provides financial assistance to both non-apprenticeship levy paying pharmacy employers and those who have exhausted their levy funds to fully fund apprenticeship training costs to help upskill their workforce.

The apprenticeship levy is a 0.5 per cent tax on the annual payroll of UK employers whose payroll exceeds £3m.

Skills4Pharmacy works with large employers paying the apprenticeship levy who have the option to transfer up to 50 per cent of the total amount to other businesses, supporting pharmacy apprenticeship training and assessment.

“We aim to bridge the skills gap through pharmacy apprenticeships,” says Amerjit Singh, managing director at Skills4Pharmacy. “Through our partnerships, we’re able to secure funding to make apprenticeships affordable for pharmacy businesses.”

Skills4Pharmacy provides a free recruitment service to connect pharmacies with suitable apprentice candidates. The service is offered at no cost to pharmacies which hire an apprentice via this method and use its training programmes.
